Adopt-a-Shift at Food Club!
Volunteer groups of 6 to 10 people are invited to serve on a regular basis (monthly) to 'adopt-a-shift' at Food Club.
An easy way for your faith community, team, company, or organization to serve your community in a meaningful way, and serve together!
Requirements for Food Club Adopt-a-Shift Volunteers:
- Must be 16 years of age or older. Children between the ages of 10-15 are welcome to volunteer with a parent/guardian on-site guiding the child.
- Participants are invited to join a volunteer orientation session together, to learn more about Food Club and volunteering in each role. Click here to see available volunteer orientation dates.
- Volunteer Paperwork: Participants must a submit a signed waiver ahead of the group's first volunteer shift.
- A volunteer leader from your group will be in charge of scheduling, coordinating to fill each role for their adopted shift, and keeping in touch with the Community Action House Volunteer Coordinator.
Food Club Adopt-a-Shift volunteers will serve in various roles at Food Club.
A typical shift is made up of the following positions:
- 2 Checkout Station Volunteers
- 1-2 Guest Greeters
- 1-2 Food Stockers*
- 2-3 Food Sorters / Packagers*
*Position involves bending & lifting up to 30lbs
