Many people bring their family, friends, and co-workers to volunteer together at Community Action House. FAQ

What kinds of volunteer opportunities are available for groups?
Groups help work on larger-scale projects such as working together to sort donated or 'rescued' food at the Food Club, deep-cleaning the Community Kitchen, or special projects at the Resale Store. Depending on the size of the group, you may be split up between several of our sites.

Are there age requirements for groups?
Our age requirement is 10+ for group volunteer events, and volunteers ages 10-15 are required to volunteer alongside a parent/guardian. If your group includes younger volunteers, please contact our volunteer coordinator (volunteer@communityactionhouse.org // 616-392-2368 ext.154)
