As a part of the National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, our local post office is teaming up with our Holland community to gather food donations for shelters, food pantries, and other agencies which offer assistance to those in need. We need volunteers to help sort the food donated by our generous community on Saturday, May 17th! Volunteers in this role must be able to lift and move bags/boxes of food. Plan to be standing for the entire shift. Join us in the Salvation Army warehouse in Holland (104 Clover St.) to help sort these donations.
Shifts are as follows:
10:30am-1:30pm: Setting up and sorting donated items
1:30pm-4:30pm: Sorting donated items
4:30pm-6pm: Sorting donated items and cleaning up at the Salvation Army
Please only sign up if you are sure you can make it. As partners of this event, we've committed to bringing this specific amount of people! If something changes and you're no longer able to make it, please update your response or reach out to our team at volunteer@communityactionhouse.org
