Our Outreach Team is dedicated to helping individuals overcome homelessness, recognizing the inherent worth & dignity of every person. While the majority of individuals who experience homelessness in holland seek shelter, there are others who, for various reasons, either cannot or choose not to enter one. The Outreach Team is committed to reaching these individuals by going out to where they live, on the streets.
As a volunteer, you'll be paired with a Trained Outreach Specialist as part of a two person team that serves one 4 hour shift per week. The team locates and engages people who are living outdoors or are otherwise unsheltered. All volunteers are provided with specialized training.
Building trust is a key part of this work. To ensure a preserve the wellbeing of our guests, we invite you to join us for an interview to see if this opportunity would be an appropriate fit. During this interview, we'll discuss length of time of the commitment, expectations, engagement with guests & your interest in this opportunity.
