Community Kitchen at FUMC (First United Methodist Church): Meal Support

As a Community Kitchen Meal Support Volunteer at First United Methodist Church, you'll help the Kitchen team with a variety of tasks. The early shift (8:30/9:30-11am) will focus on cooking the meal for service that day. The later shift (10:30am-1:30pm) will focus on meal service and cleaning up afterwards. The 11am to 12:30pm shift will focus on welcoming guests into our space, by greeting them at the front door. No prior cooking or restaurant experience is required, as long as you have a passion for serving and an interest in food, we will teach you the rest! Shifts are temporarily held here until ongoing hosts at Salvation Army complete construction! 

Closed-toe shoes and hair restraints (hair tied back, hat/hairnet) are required at the Kitchen, in alignment with Health Dept. requirements.

Parking:

Parking is available in the main parking lot in front of the church. If arriving at 8:30am or earlier, please enter using the back door near the dumpster. All other shifts, please enter using Door A and ring the doorbell when you arrive!
