As a Refresh Navigator you will be working directly with our guests who are currently experiencing homelessness; making confidentiality of upmost importance. You'll manage the sign-up list for guests looking to connect with our Housing Access Case Managers during Refresh. This includes coordinating with the case managers to ensure all guests who sign-up are seen, collecting basic intake information, providing helpful gear, offering a tour for new guests, and inputting data to count our metrics. We are looking for individuals who are able to commit to serving on a regular basis (weekly or monthly). Training will be provided during your first few shifts.
Refresh is a program of First United Methodist Church, operated in partnership with Community Action House. Together, we serve our unsheltered neighbors by providing Hygiene Hope. This volunteered powered, drop-in center offers a warm meal, showers and clothing, with onsite case managements support provided by Community Action House's Housing Access Team.
The House Access Outreach Team is dedicated to helping individuals overcome homelessness, recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of every person. This volunteer opportunity will work alongside our case managers to provide our clients with a warm welcome, dignity & respect.
