Volunteer with Community Action House's annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution!
Food Club members and other community members are invited to shop for the Thanksgiving food items that work best for their families. Shoppers will be given a shopping list with items to choose from, and volunteers will help guide the shopping experience, restock the shelves, help guests check out and bag up groceries, and help direct traffic on Thanksgiving shopping days.
Groups, families, and individuals are welcome to join! Ages 10+ are welcome to join, and children between 10-15 years old should attend with a parent or guardian.
Volunteer training and role assignments will take place the day-of.
Parking is available in our back lot, and volunteers will enter through our volunteer door, Door D. Our team will meet you there and get you started for your shift!
*Spanish language skills (bilingual) are a plus in any position!
Volunteer Activities:
- Corral shopping carts outside
- Greet guests indoors and hand out shopping lists
- Assist guests with shopping
- Restocking in designated areas
- Bag groceries
- Sorting donated fresh & dry goods
- Cleaning tasks as assigned
