Who We Are
Good food belongs with people, not landfills. Our food rescue programs works across sectors and behind-the-scenes, with grocery stores, food pantries, farms, and private sector businesses to solve the logistical challenges of food waste. Together, we greatly reduce waste by redirecting fresh, surplus food to those who need it most.
What We Do
We partner with food retailers, volunteers, and local nonprofit partners to connect surplus food with individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity. Volunteer opportunities with Lakeshore Food Rescue include driving as a Food Rescue driver (Food Rescue Hero app), collecting food donations at the Holland Farmers Market on Wednesdays, and rescuing food (also at the Market) on Saturdays.
