As a Food Rescue at the Market volunteer, you'll collect produce that local farmers and vendors would like to donate at the end of the Farmers Market (farmers often refer to this process as gleaning)! These efforts help feed families right here in our community at Food Club, the Community Kitchen and by sharing out with other area nonprofits!

Plan on meeting at Food Club and riding as a passenger in the LFR van to the farmers market*. Once at the Farmers Market, you'll assist in collecting donations and then return to Food Club to unload the produce collected. Closed-toe shoes are recommended in this role.
*Depending on capacity in the LFR van you may be asked to drive your personal vehicle. A Food Rescue staff member will reach out at the beginning of the week to let you know the plan.
