As a Logistics Team Volunteer, you'll ride in a Community Action House truck, with a fellow volunteer or Action House staff member, to local grocers for our Food Rescue efforts to help our community prosper. Help us turn food excess into food access through this unique opportunity!
This opportunity does require the ability to get in & out of a tall truck repeatedly, the ability to lift 40-50 lbs consistently, and the ability to operate a pallet jack (prior knowledge not necessary, but trainability needed).
This opportunity is best suited for volunteers able to commit to a weekly shift!

Logistics Routes:
- M-F: Kitchen Run 7:30-9am
- M/F: EV: 9-11am
- M/W/F: Small & Tandem Reefers: 9am-1pm
- T/Th: Small Reefer 9am-12pm
- T/TH: Recycle Run: 9:30am-12pm

Please note: Due to the volume of lifting & regular use of pallets and pallet jacks in this role, we highly recommend wearing safety toe shoes as a Logistics Volunteer, and Action House will reimburse up to $25 for a volunteer's purchase of the shoes.
